There’s something rather lovely about welcoming one of my own quilt designs home again.
Since early 2025, my Patchwork Palooza Sampler Quilt has been the sew along project for members of the A Block at a Time Facebook group. Now this scrappy 22-block sampler is settling into its permanent home here at my blog and also my A Scrappy Little Joy Facebook group. I thought that called for a little freshening up!
As you can see above, I’ve given Patchwork Palooza a new look using Makower Linen Textures, with my favorite Osnaburg plain weave cotton making an appearance as the background in my lighter version. Same cheerful blocks, just dressed in some new clothes and ready for another wander around the quilting block.
And this time, we’re keeping things wonderfully simple.
I’ll be sharing a free Patchwork Palooza block each week, both here on the blog and in the A Scrappy Little Joy Facebook group, where we can share our blocks, encourage one another, and enjoy seeing just how many different directions 22 little patterns can go.
But I hope you’ll remember – weekly does not mean hurry.
You know how we roll around here, friends. Perfection is the beacon, but the joy is in the journey.
We’re not here to race, and we’re certainly not here to add another deadline to anybody’s life. Make a block when you feel like making a block. Save one for later. Skip ahead, fall behind, wander off and come back. The patterns will be right here waiting for you.
Because Patchwork Palooza may have 22 blocks, but we only ever need to make one of them at a time.
And I think that sounds like a rather nice way to spend some time together.
As always, I’m glad you’re here. 💛
